My Work

I am a widely published and award-winning poet, and have been writing for over ten years.

My themes include our relationships to our speaking voices, bisexuality, womanhood in generational terms, physical and mental health, sex and bodies, and dreams and nonsense.

Awards

  • Highly Commended in the Bridport Prize for Poetry

    In 2013 and 2016 I had poems Highly Commended in the Bridport Prize. In 2014, 2015 and 2023 I had poems shortlisted.

  • The Poetry Business New Poets Prize

    In 2016 I was one of four winners of The Poetry Business New Poets Prize, and my resulting pamphlet Gaps was published with smith|doorstop the following year.

  • The Hawker Prize - 2nd Place

    In 2018 I won 2nd place in the Hawker Prize 2017 for my poem ‘Kiwis’, nominated by The Kindling magazine.

  • The Café Writers Norfolk Prize

    In 2019 I won The Norfolk Prize in the Café Writers competition. In 2023 I was highly commended in their main prize.

  • Nine Arches Press Primers Volume Six - Shortlisted

    In 2021 I was shortlisted for Nine Arches Press’ Primers Volume Six.

  • Ware Poets Competition - Commendation

    In 2021 I had two poems commended in the Ware Poets Open Competition.

  • National Poetry Competition - Longlist

    In 2021 and 2023 I was longlisted in the National Poetry Competition.

  • Winchester Prize - Highly Commended

    In 2022 I was Highly Commended in the Winchester Prize.
